Rated 1 out of 5 by Katt in Cali from Terrible Wow, what a throwback. We were using this tool back in the '80's (it was called a burner back then). You're basically trying to heat-transfer the ink from a laser-jet pic. Anything hot would do it. And your surface has to be PERFECTLY flat, which most wood is not (the grain will leave stripes). Just a terrible way to transfer pics, especially since there's so many better ways these days.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Boodily from Mod Podge® Photo Transfer Tool so far it has not performed as I would have expected it to. I've watched the video by Plaid, did what was "suggested", but no transfer made.

Rated 1 out of 5 by gramasuzi from too hot too handle This tool requires use of a laser jet printer which I was able to access, fortunately BUT, following the directions for the tool was not acceptable. Turn tool onto highest setting and wait 10 minutes before using, created a tool so hot it scorched the wood under the picture and left the picture itself dry as the desert. I did not expect tp use the pic again but transfer to the wood was horrible! It was blurry and as I said, scorched. I am returning it to the store. Not an acceptable tool for my projects. So disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Regrets from Waste of money I have a laser printer. I watched the instructional video on YouTube. Followed all the instructions. This thing is a piece of crap. Do not waste your money on it. I spent half a day working with it. I tried various surfaces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emmy88 from Laser printer needed Most home printers are ink jet, so the product will NOT work. If you don't own a laser jet, take it to an office supply store and have them print the image for you!

Rated 1 out of 5 by HBenjamin from Does not work! I purchased this expensive tool yesterday and tried to use today. I tried 3 different surfaces and didn't get a useable transfer on any if them. 1st was a wood slice, using suggested temp but it just burned the wood. Next tried a wood floor sample but only a small amount of ink transferred. Finally I tried a piece of canvas and transfer was very light with no detail. I have used the photos with liquid photo transfer and they work fine so I don't think it's the photo. Finally the instructions are minimally stated on the box so you have to search online for instructions. No place in their website to get help. A waste of $22!
